Where art meets invention.

Studies

— of light, of growth, of the body in motion

Every idea begins as an act of looking. Here the eye lingers on things most people pass by — the curl of a leaf, the geometry hidden in a glance, the slow arithmetic of growing things.

Studies are not finished works. They are questions drawn in ink: patient, unhurried, and allowed to be wrong.

Inventions

— ideas given wings, wheels & reasons
macchina volante ala braccia xx
A Machine for FlightBorrowed from the bat and the kite: ribs, membrane, and a stubborn hope.

An invention is a drawing that refuses to stay on the page. It starts with a sketch of something alive — a wing, a joint, a current of water — and asks how it might be built.

Some of these machines will turn. Some never will. Each one is a way of thinking with the hands.

Notes

— fragments from the margins
nota prima

Observe first. The hand only follows where the eye has already been.

nota seconda

Every machine begins as a drawing of something alive.

nota terza

Leave the page unfinished. A blank margin is an invitation.
